The name pinkparakeets came to me at the good ol' age of 14. I was sitting in my best friend Kata's (the amazingly talented artist and creator behind Altar Girl) room trying to think up a witty yet cute name for my livejournal blog I was setting up. (yeah, I'm livejournal old) At the time I had a parakeet named Peetie who was my best bud in feather form. I guess pink + parakeets sounded sweet to me and there you have it, pinkparakeets was born. Speaking of livejournal, that place was a mess and got deleted a few years ago. I will never make the mistake of putting too much personal stuff out there where everyone can see it. Then again, I'll never make the mistake of being 17 again.
Fast forward to now! 2014 is the year I turned 30. If I had started this blog just shy of 20 I'd probably be way more successful in the blogging world by now. Eh! I guess it's never to late to start something, right? Let's hope so. I am a married gal and have a pretty fantastic husband, David. We also have a sweet baby boy (growing up way too fast!) named Liam and a handful of fur babes as well.
I am currently a stay at home momma but also enjoy photography! Particularly film photography. It's kinda a hobby/obsession of mine. NBD. Forever adopting old film cameras that people need to find good homes for. I see these cameras as amazing! Many of them still outrank the silly point and shoot digital cameras of today. SRSLY.
